Clos Maggiore is an oasis of calm in the heart of Covent Garden. Influenced by the stylish country inns of Provence and Tuscany its unique interiors create a warmth and intimacy enjoyed by both business and private parties. The conservatory has a fully retractable glass roof creating a bright and airy dining space. Our extensive cellar at Clos Maggiore includes over 2,000 labels and was extended earlier this year to include an additional 400 wines at a low – mid price range. We are very proud to have been awarded the “Best of Award of Excellence” consistently since 2003 by Wine Spectator.

    Nestled in Argentina's Mendoza region, Bodega Catena Zapata has redefined the country's wine industry. Founded in 1902 by Nicola Catena, an Italian immigrant, and now led by Nicolás Catena Zapata, the winery is famous for elevating Malbec to global recognition. Pioneering high-altitude viticulture in the Andes, Catena Zapata is renowned for its exceptional wines that showcase Mendoza’s unique terroir, securing its place among the world’s premier wine producers. Hosted by Eclio Dumon, UK Brand Ambassador and Dr Adrianna Dr. Adrianna Catena A fourth-generation vintner and historian, Adrianna is based in London. She co-founded El Enemigo Wines in 2009 with winemaker Alejandro Vigil and recently expanded to Spain with Bodega El Reventón, an off-grid winery in Sierra de Gredos. Adrianna holds a DPhil in History from Balliol College, Oxford, specializing in the Early Modern Iberian Atlantic. Eclio Dumon Eclio serves as the UK Brand Ambassador for Catena Zapata. With 15 years of experience across the U.S., Spain, and the UK, he’s spent the past seven years building the brand in the UK. He holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi, Milan, and a WSET Level 3 certification in Wines & Spirits. This exclusive wine dinner is held in our sumptuous blossomed ceiling and wood panelled dining room, with log fires in winter and tall windows opening on to the terraces of Covent Garden in Summer, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a magical few hours wining and dining in great style.  The exclusive event begins at 6.30pm with an introduction to the Brand Hosts. This will be followed by a curated dinner at 7.00 pm. Each course is designed to perfectly complement the outstanding wines selected for the evening.     My wife and I had the pre-theatre menu. Generous protions at a good price. wonderful decor, outstanding 4 star service. really a cut above. Waiters would literally antipate your needs be, highly respectful, attentive, not invasive, not snooty. would 100% go again.

    The Onion Soup was tasteless and cold. The pork was underdone and both main courses were luke warm and served on cold plates! Two courses, expensive and not good value.

    It’s a nice restaurant. We go there every visit to London. The food is good , but we did notice a slight reduction in quality since last year. Overall tho it was fine.

    Atmosphere and service outstanding. We were on the pre-theatre fixed menue where the pork was amplified by a lovely moroccan mustard sauce but the pork itself just too fatty. Did not take the dessert but opted for the coffee with petit fours which were delicious but not a cheap option , although coffee was listed as unlimited. Although the food offering was average the ambiance and service made up for it.

    SUPER wonderful place, extremely good food that is at michelin level. the atmosphere was fantastic. due to the lack of small details that I personally prefer, for example candles on the table, or a small flower, or possibly caviar as an accessory, I therefore only give 4/5. but don't be scared by my review this place is HUGELY WORTH A VISIT.
