   As a local, I love the tourist-y vibes at Cluny. The ambience and atmosphere (from the lighting and general decor/design) is cozy despite how bustling and noisy the restaurant can be. The steak frites (what I always get) are reliably good and enjoyable. This time, we tried the Ballon D'Or for dessert which was interesting - but why pop rocks?

   Good place. French onion soup a touch of sweet. Deep rich flavor. Steak perfectly cooked and seasoned well. Bread basket well worth cost

   Oysters were fresh, we ordered half east and half west coast. Beef tartare was good and portion was adequate. Lobster bisque was on the salty side, a bit too concentrated, can actually water down a bit. It was too paste-y. Organic mussels were undercooked, a lot weren't opened and the whole dish was very fishy and lukewarm, could add more white wine and cook a bit more. I just had a few pieces and gave up. Both tenderloin and flat iron steak frites were very good. Burger was juicy too.

   We were looking for something different in the Distillery District of Toronto. We'd never been to Cluny so we tried it. Bingo! Very nice place, it's a quite formal large beautiful space. I had the steak frites, my wife had the shore lunch (deep fried shrimp and fish, both from Newfoundland). We shared a bowl of what is probably the best french onion soup in the world. And the bread! Made in-house. Have it all!

   Food was excellent. The steak and burgers were done to perfection. Our waiter, whose name I have unfortunately forgotten, was outstanding, very personable and attentive. Would definitely go back there again and recommend to friends and family.

   Cluny was delightful! Mark provided excellent service during my birthday celebration and attended to our needs thoughtfully. The drinks and food were delicious.

   We had dinner there. I had Bouillabaisse and my wife had the 8oz steak frites. The service was excellent and the food was also excellent. It is a very pleasant ambiance however the noise level was quite high. It was difficult to have a conversation. All in all it was very pleasant.

    Usually this place is great ! Asked for “waiter’s” opinion on the omelette of the day and he said it is delish! Ordered it and total disappointment! Should have stuck to what I normally ordered! Ugh ! Oh wells!
