   Had dinner on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was very busy. Lots of people celebrating birthdays and other events so it was a little noisy but not overbearing. We ordered the new banana old fashioned which was very good. We tried the Caeser and the Bibb salad with warm bacon vinaigrette, both very good. Dinners included the tuna, duck and crispy salmon. All were delicious. The duck originally came to the table overdone, but without us saying a word, the manager came to the table and replaced the duck with the properly cooked duck as ordered. That is great service! Jake was very helpful and attentive, we will be back!!!

   The Coastal Grill usually provides a 5-star experience but came up a little short this time. The service, including the friendliness of the host, was off, the music was too loud, and the duck was overcooked.

   Are three entrées were excellent. Each of us enjoyed our dinners. Janelle was our waitress who took care of us immediately and continued throughout our meal. We will definitely return soon.

   Coastal Grill is a gem of Virginia Beach. The cuisine is exquisite, the servers and staff are friendly and welcoming, and the ambience is upscale yet comfortable. It truly is one of our favorite restaurants.

   Great restaurant. Waiter was awesome. The steak and seafood were so good. The big surprise was the acorn squash with brown sugar and butter. Excellent night out.

   We have not been to this restaurant in quite a few years but recently we thought to give them a try again for dinner. What a delight! We were celebrating a special birthday and asked for a padded seat due to hip issues and were promptly seated immediately when we arrived. We had reservations for a Friday evening, which I highly recommend because they were packed. Our server was quick and knowledgeable of the nights specials. We shared the very large Bibb salad with warm bacon dressing which was served with warm crusty bread. I highly recommend the grilled salmon with tomatoes, capers and yummy crunchy mushrooms. Great combination believe it or not. My husband had the shrimp & grits, not too spicy and good as well. The alcoholic drinks are to die for for! Great pours and unique.I recommend if you like bourbon, try the 7 year bourbon with banana liqueur, black walnut bitters. Very good! My gin, blueberry spritz was full of fresh crushed blueberry's and also very good. We finished with a shared Baileys cheesecake with chocolate crust & unique maccha coulis. So good! Even though the noise level is still very loud,and there is valet parking only, I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning soon. Way to go Coastal Grill on upping your "game"!
