   Thoughtful menu, creative amazing flavors on every dish. Tasting menu (that you get to select) has generous portions and a great price point. Service was excellent...knowledgeable and warm. The entire place/staff screams hospitality. Thank you for a wonderful evening and a truly memorable dinner.

   The food at Cocina Abierta was absolutely delicious, as always. I’ve been here several times and consistently enjoyed the quality and creativity of the dishes. However, this visit was the first time I experienced unaccommodating service. One member of our group follows a kosher diet and can only eat fruits and vegetables at restaurants. Unfortunately, neither our server nor the manager were willing to accommodate this request. Additionally, our drinks took a noticeably long time to arrive, and we had to remind the waiter before they were finally served. Despite this, I still believe Cocina Abierta is one of the best spots for local Puerto Rican cuisine, and I plan to return. However, I hope the restaurant can address the service issues. Dietary restrictions are quite common these days, and being more accommodating would not only enhance the guest experience but also help the restaurant remain competitive with other top dining options in the San Juan area.

   The food is outstanding. We went with our 12 year old boys who are big foodies. The two adults got the five course tasting menu and the kids each chose two courses, plus we got some apps, and then we all tried each other’s dishes. Everything was spectacular. Drinks were amazing and service was phenomenal. It is pricey but well worth it. It was more than just dinner, it was an experience!

   Conveniently located to Marriott. Food delicious and inventive. They do substitute items. Service pretty good. A little chilly so wear a sweater.

   This restaurant was disappointing. The service was lacking. It seemed very disorganized upon entry. Our waitress rushed us to order our food because the kitchen closed at 10pm. We had a reservation for 9:30. Do you expect people to eat a 5 course tasting in 30 minutes?? Then the food was creative but lacked execution and flavor. In the end I would not recommend coming to eat here for what you are going to pay. For a place that is dedicated to enhancing Puerto Rican flavor and bringing in all the flavors and elevating it was just subpar. How do you go to a authentic Puerto Rican spot that the decor has nothing to do with Puerto Rico and what killed the experience even more was the HOUSE music, really ?... Bring the culture back Cocina Abierta .

   Everything was incredible. We did the tasting with the wine pairing, and it was outrageously good. We each got a different dish, and there wasn't a single miss on the entire menu. The service was 12/10, and it might be the best restaurant on the island. Do not sleep on this spot!
