Le Columbia est le plus ancien restaurant de Floride, fondé dans l'historique quartier d'Ybor City à Tampa en 1905. Géré et exploité par la même famille depuis plus de 111 ans, il a acquis une solide réputation pour son charme d'antan ainsi que sa cuisine espagnole/cubaine et sa carte de vins primée.     Beautiful food! Wonderful staff and impecable service. Ana was superb and very knowledgeable of the restaurant's long history. Very enjoyable experience.

    Superb food and service! The menu is amazing and so were the dishes we finally decided upon. The tapas are a nice start to hearty portions in the entrees. A unique experience for sure...

    We had a pleasant meal at Columbia with a friendly and well-trained server. The food, on the whole was flavorful, hot (temperature) as called for, and delicious. Portion size was also lovely. A couple of notes: If you order the Mojito Pitcher ask for 0 simple syrup; we asked for less and yet the drink was like drinking sugar water. After getting 8 or so additional limes to cut the sweetness, they were drinkable. The service was too fast. We had 3 courses and the first two were delivered almost simultaneously. The table (for 4) is too small for that and we didn’t have time to enjoy the delicious soups! If you order steak ask for a good knife. While the steak was tasty and not especially tough, it was difficult to cut with the knives provided.

    Another fantastic visit to the Columbia. Reservation was at 11;00. We were seated promptly. Greeted within minutes. Server was attentive but not overly attentive. Food was delicious.

    We discovered this historic gem last year when we were staying in Ybor. The food is delicious and the history is just as much of a treat that we visited the one in St. Augustine and came back again this year on Gasparilla race weekend. The portions are large, so you leave very satisfied.

    Atmosphere of this restaurant is great. I’m hoping we caught them on an off night - but also don’t think that management handled it very well. The kitchen evidently was backed up, our server may have had too many tables, and waiting in between everything was a long wait in between. We asked for the larger wine list. Typically those are readily available. 10 minute wait. Request to talk to a sommelier. Again another 10-15 minute wait. Salad course - 10-15 minutes. While made table side took too long. 30 minutes between salad course and entrees coming to the table. By then we were ready to leave. We split my wife’s meal and took mine to go. Candidly - not looking for a free meal but absolutely nothing was offered to get us to come back. Disappointed. Again - hopefully we caught them on an off night.
