We did have a reservation, but since we arrived before the lunch rush began, it would likely not have been a problem to get a table. And, though we asked to be seated somewhere quiet so that we could visit (3 of us), it was fairly quiet overall anyway. The place did get much busier while we were there, but not overwhelmingly noisy. The service was great, with each staff member very pleasant. Our meals were excellent. (I had the watermelon salad and was impressed that it was really a watermelon salad - not a bed of greens with a couple of bites of watermelon on it!)

The food and service generally were good, as was the noise level, at least where we were seated. One small complaint, which we conveyed to the waiter: One of us asked whether substitute side dishes were available for a main course that on the menu listed two standard side dishes: french fries and cole slaw. The waiter told us of possible side dishes and we ordered two. We were surprised on the bill to see that we were charged $5 extra for the substitute side dishes. It makes little difference on a total bill of well over $100, and we declined an offer to remove the charge from our bill, but if the restaurant wants to nickel-and-dime customers on such small things, at least we should be told in advance.

We made a reservation and upon arriving they put us in the first table right inside the door inside the bar area. My wife and I aren’t ones to care much about where we sit, but it was odd to make a reservation then be put in the bar area. The food was fantastic - highly recommend the calamari and the ribs.
