Welcome to Copperwood Tavern, located in Shirlington Village. Our menu offers an array of scratch-made dishes and seasonal flavors along with a selection of handcrafted cocktails, 20 Virginia craft beers on tap, and an extensive selection of bourbons and Virginia wines. Copperwood exudes a cozy cabin-style vibe; great for a date night, business lunch, or weekend brunch with the family.
Join us weekdays for lunch, happy hour $2 oysters from 3-6, or dinner!
On weekends we offer brunch from 9am-4pm featuring classics such as chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and bananas foster French toast along with a selection of brunch libations.

    Great service! Live music sounded nice, wasn’t too loud. Perfect dirty martinis! If I’m being picky, $8 salad add on for FIVE shrimp is crazy. I regret adding it on.

    Good tavern food and pleasant Shirlington vibe. Server had to be reminded on a few minor requests - but understandable due to busy weekend crowd. Worth the price.

    This is always my go-to when I want to bring guests for a reliably good meal! Not only the meals, but the service is always great! I have been there many times over the past 6 years and never once had bad food or service. In an industry where overall quality and service often decreases after a year or so, it's always a relief knowing that the Copperwood Tavern remains consistent on every level.     We enjoyed our extremely attentive and wonderful server and the food was quite good. The fried green tomatoes starter was a real treat, and the other dishes we had - a steak and a caesar salad were just lovely.
