The setting is cozy with a laid back vibe allowing my friend and me to enjoy our conversation. It was the perfect place to be after seeing the Ailey exhibit at the Whitney Museum. Everything from the drinks to our appetizers to our entrees and dessert was delicious.
For my appetizers, I had the crab cake, which was perfect. My friend had the pot of steamed mussels, which were tender and juicy. We both enjoyed the escovich branzino that was amazing. For dessert, the hot apple pie was incredible.
Only the service was a little slow, but it was a Thursday evening, only one server was working , and we were not in a rush.
Chez Omar is now one of my favorite restaurants! I will be back soon and have already started to spread the word.
