Best American Restaurants in Downtown Indy

This is a great place! it's part of the small group that owns, among others, the restaurant St. Elmo, which is one of the best steakhouses I've ever experienced. In fact, they share some of the same signature dishes, including the legendary (and very spicy!) shrimp cocktail. A beautiful and open dining room, with lots of different seating areas (including a marvelous section by the bar) provide lots of different options for every "mood" of patron. The food was great, the prices reasonable. Delightful!

Always 10/10 and our thanksgiving evening meal was no exception. They saved our table for us and we didn't even request it! Little things like this are huge. We were so surprised by how packed it was though so that definitely made it louder. I guess I thought we would be the only family that decided to make a reservation on Thanksgiving! My two daughters and I were there for Thanksgiving lunch which we have done for the last three years. The experience has always been great but this year was outstanding as we were served by Amanda B. which made the whole experience a delight. She greeted us with a huge smile and we could tell that this lunch was going to be one of our best ever. We chatted with her like we had known each other for years due to her amazing personality. She answered any questions we had and just made us not feel rushed. She brought our drinks while we looked over the selections again and promptly took our order once we were ready. She did offer us some of their pretzel rolls which by the way are amazing. Our entrees were served within a few minutes which was oof the hook since this is one of their busiest days. The turkey was tasty and not dried out along with the sausage dressing that was a change from the standard form. All of the food was prepared excellent and the portions were far more than any of us could consume hench take out boxes for us. The dessert was to die for with a pumpkin tart and whipped cream. All of the staff was great from the hostess to Amanda B. that made our day as we found out she had three kids of her own after asking. I know working on a holiday sucks but she never showed that side. We will be back next year and hopefully Amanda B. will be there!

Easily the best steak I’ve had in Indianapolis. Prices are high but normal but EVERYTHING was fantastic. Don’t miss out!
