Best American Restaurants in King East

A wonderful place for a wonderful dinner. I always enjoy Hothouse and last night was no exception. The wait staff was outstanding and in short supply. Food was great. The place is an always quiet enough for conversation. The only sort of disappointment ( just sort of) was the strawberry shortcake which was very dry. But! The decadent chocolate cake was outstanding!! We’ll be back soon.

My first time at the king Street location and the ambience was great. Initially I loved it. My issue was with my order. I ordered two espresso martinis made with tequila instead of vodka and they both came loaded with some kind of hot pepper! My throat and lips were burning after I tried it. That was a major mistake in my opinion that unfortunately turned me off of the drink even though the waitress was apologetic and brought new ones. I understand mistakes will be made but when the bill came I was also charged 4 times for the two drinks that were originally laced with hot pepper! I didn't get the drinks removed from my bill for the pain of the first sip (long lasting burning in my throat and lips) and for the inconvenience. I think that is what should have been done in that situation. Other from that unfortunate experience, I enjoyed the restaurant.

First time at the Berczy and we will be going back. Beautiful space and atmosphere. The live piano is a plus and reminds me of one of our favourite bistros in NY. We had a brunch menu and it was delicious. Our server Nikita was great snd we had a nice chat with Luca. All in all a great time and a nice gem in the neighborhood. Thank you !!

I have been to Carbon Bar a few times but never tried their experiences. So this time as a post Christmas dinner with friends we did just that. What a great choice it was!!! It is totally worth the price! You get so much food we even had leftovers to take home. We also ordered the cornbread and it’s to die for! That maple butter still has me reeling! They also have happy hour until 6pm and it’s totally worth it!

Went here for my birthday and it was great! Food was good and so were the drinks. I had a really fun time.
