Best American Restaurants in Rancho Mirage

I must say, Foxy’s was the best overall dining experience my wife and I have had for some time! We were greeted with a warm genuine welcome upon arrival. We were given a booth that overlooked the restaurant and bar, so we could see all the action unfold in front of us. Lola was our waitress and her smile and friendly personality radiated with each encounter. She was really helpful and accommodating throughout our meal. We started with the calamari. It was absolutely delicious and had the perfect seasoning and dipping aioli. We then had a Cesar salad, which was fresh and crisp. The dressing was light but flavorful. My wife had the salmon and she loved it! I had the 8oz filet with peppercorn sauce. I wanted to buy a vat of that stuff. It was amazingly good! For desert, my wife had the chocolate cake, and she raved that it was by far the best chocolate cake she had ever eaten. The vide and ambiance was electric and it was very clear the staff enjoyed working at Foxy’s and really loved working with each other. It was a pleasure to witness everyone’s interaction and help provided each other. Mr. Fox, the proprietor, was active and present throughout the evening, and he takes care and attention over his patrons. It looks to be his pride and joy! He personally came over to introduce himself and made desire out experience were exceeding expectations. We affirmed we had an amazing dining experience and would surely be back when we visited the area again. I do not typically write such an extensive and detailed review, but we were so pleased with our dinner at Foxy’s, I had no choice but take the time to do so. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! If you are ever in the Palm Springs area, this must be a dinner spot on top of your list! You will thank me!!! Brent Y Fairfield, CA

If you are in Palm Desert and want an outstanding meal, go to Pacifica. The Ahi Tuna is to die for. It is what we always order for an entrée on our annual trip to the area. The salads are ample for a beginning. The Crème Brulee for dessert is a must have. Thank you, Yobany, for taking good care of us! We will be back!

Another fantastic experience at The Edge. From the moment my husband and I walked in the door, we were greeted with smiles from all staff and made to feel at home with manager, Daniel. We sat at the bar and Ron delivered the most special cocktails and wine to pair with our meal selections. A must tried is the fries lobster tail and be sure to order extra bread! The gluten free focaccia is one of the best I’ve ever had! Thank you Edge team and the Ritz. Can’t wait to return!

Willie’s Modern Fare is simply excellency from beginning of experience to end experience. We dined for our Christmas Eve celebration for this review and previously for our wedding dinner last year and other times for just a great meal. This restaurant never disappoints. The owner is also always present and makes sure everything is in order and greets his guests personally. As for the food last night: The onion gratin soup is to die for…same for the filet, perfectly cooked and the baked alaska with cherry gelato inside, delicious. Service, impeccable Willie’s happy hour, brunch are the same high quality and service. He also offers an afternoon tea on Sundays i believe. I am a fan and if it isn’t the best restaurant in the greater Coachella area, it is one of the top 3

The waiter was very enthusiastic and the food was amazing per usual. We were disappointed that our table was not ready when we arrived when I think I made the reservation weeks ago. I did have a dog, but they didn’t seem to mind. There were plenty of tables outside and we ended up in the corner. A couple after us got a better table right in front of ours.
