- MMaggieWashington, D.C. Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoEvery dish was exquisite and original (some entirely unique, others fresh takes on familiar things). We were a large group (8 of us). Our server (Graham) was perfectly attentive without being obsequious. An excellent pre-holiday family dinner outing!More infoavec River NorthPrice: Moderate• Mediterranean• River North (Chicago)•4.7
- NNicoleVIPChicago / Illinois •55 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThe ambiance is so lovely during Christmas and so festive. We sat at the Bar with Our martinis with blue cheese olives waiting for a table as we wanted to be seated by the Christmas tree. We began with oysters and the wagyu carpaccio, pleasing aesthetic, but even more delish. My Husband had the ribeye, which was a special and we ordered 3 sides; Gouda macaroni and cheese served in a copper crock, the haricots verts and frites, all so delish. I tasted his ribeye, but enjoyed all of the sides. My Husband had the raspberry sorbet for dessert accompanied by an espresso martini which I had as well. The piece of resistance (not spelled as pronounced) was it was 1/2 price wine on the bottles. We enjoyed a bottle with dinner and even brought another bottle to Our hotel to enjoy.More infoLa Grande Boucherie - ChicagoPrice: Very Expensive• French• River North (Chicago)•4.5
- LLeslieChicago / Illinois •9 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThey care deeply about service at The Smith. You will feeling well taken care of. The staff and management were attentive and personable. The food was a 10. Everything from oysters to arancini, chips with blue cheese, branzino, pork chops, all perfectly cooked. I wince a little at $16.50 cocktails but that is pretty much par for a good Chicago restaurant. Entree prices were all more than reasonable. We will be back.More infoThe Smith - ChicagoPrice: Moderate• American• River North (Chicago)•4.7
- AAlannaChicago / Illinois •2 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 16, 2024Our waitress wasn’t the most helpful. She had a tone and vibe that felt unpleasant. For instance, when I asked what salad dressings were available it was like pulling teeth to get her to tell me simple information like that. And in the end she still couldn’t tell me the options. It also felt like we were in her way and an inconvenience to her. She wasn’t warm or welcoming at all. We were the large table of 10, maybe that stressed her out- but I expected better service for this type of ‘higher end’ restaurant. Everything else was outstanding the food, atmosphere etc. We will still visit again- Just hope we have a friendlier more helpful server next time.More infoBeatrix - River NorthPrice: Moderate• American• River North (Chicago)•4.6
