On a Tuesday evening, it was neither noisy nor overcrowded which was the ideal atmosphere for us. The drinks were fantastic. I had the Pineapple Sunrise, which was well-balanced, allowing every flavor to shine without being too strong. The appetizers were a hit with my family, who enjoyed the salmon sliders, shrimp rolls, and wings. However, my entrée, the stir-fried vegetables, was underwhelming. The dish featured large stalks of bok choy and did not include rice, requiring an additional $7 for a small side of fried rice. While intended to have an Asian-inspired flavor, it fell short. The fried rice itself was overly salty yet lacked the depth of flavor that a bit more soy sauce could have provided. The penne alfredo was decent, with large shrimp and generous portions. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with excellent service. Our hostess, Claudia, and the rest of the staff were wonderful. One thing to note is that if you bring your own cake, there is a $25 service fee for cutting it.Plus d’informationsLILLI RESTAURANTPrix : raisonnable• Thaï• East Flatbush•4,7

Falansai's full tasting menu, what's now called the 'Super' Dac Biet, has been a regular feature of our birthday/anniversary dinner rotation for years now (I maintain you're doing it wrong if you only order ala carte here) and it's always a blast. The team does an amazing job of making really high-end, inventive cooking feel fun and casual. I have to give a huge shout-out to the beverage program as well; Falansai's wine list might have the most reasonable prices of any decent restaurant in New York right now (a five-course wine pairing for $65 in this day and age is nuts) and there's always something interesting and unexpected on offer. Even the really baller bottles (which you might have to ask to see the reserve list to know about in the first place), which are often on par with the best wine you can buy anywhere in the city, are sold at astoundingly fair prices. Falansai is a gem of an increasingly rare breed in NYC.Plus d’informationsFalansaiPrix : raisonnable• Vietnamienne• Williamsburg•4,6
