Best Asian Restaurants in Portola Valley

Celebrated a good friend's retirement and could not have asked for a nicer evening. On a cool evening, we had a cozy table for 4 indoors (although the outdoor seating looked comfortable). Started with cocktails and the tempura beans. Then moved on to the wedge salad. Folks had halibut, scalops and the veggie risotto for mains along with a very reasonably priced bottle of wine. Bread pudding and candied popcorn (on the house) for desert. Every sip and bite was delicious with a special call out to the wedge salad. We've been before and we will be back. Food is always consistent and very good. We had a great server - Burak. He was attentive and provided great service!

Every dish was flavorful and well balanced. We enjoyed the variety of dishes provided on the menu and made a great meal selecting the special dishes and the ones on the menu. We really liked the black sesame creme brulee.

We decided to try new things and ordered the lotus chips Very tasty with tea leaf aioli which we loved, along with the Tea Leaf Salad which is the most interesting and delicious salad on the planet! The staff took great care of us, advised on a few choices on the menu which turned out to be beyond great, Delicious and a pleasure to try! We had the broccoli with garlic, the Chicken and Shrimp, the Ruby Shrimp too and the food was fantastic in presentation and flavors. We will definitely dine at Rangoon Ruby again!
