Best Barbecue Restaurants in Main Street

We had a reservation for 5:30pm which we were a few minutes early for, but waited a bit of time to be seated on arrival. We were asked to sit and wait which we were fine with at first since we arrived a couple minutes early. Meanwhile, the 3-4 hosts at the front sat several groups and pairs that arrived after us. This was a bit frustrating. Our overall time at the restaurant was a bit delayed as our grill wasnt hot enough to grill the meat quickly. Small plates were coming out of the kitchen faster then we could cook it. Also, we waited quite a bit of time for the dessert course and another helper came back to clear our table 3 or 4 times before our dessert finally arrived.

Great food! Meats are marinated perfectly, the side dish and soup are prepared to perfection. Every bite is heaven on earth. We’ve been to different k restaurants but this K joint seems to have tickled our discriminating taste. Hullyunghan!

Alley 16 is an awesome spot for yakiniku, especially if you love high-quality meat. Their A5 Wagyu and other cuts are super fresh and packed with flavor. One of my favorite dish is scallop uni. The staff is really friendly and makes sure you have a great time. Plus, you get your own grill at the table, so you can cook everything just the way you like it. Definitely a solid choice for a nice night out or a special treat!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed this excellent new restaurant with an elevated beverage service and delicious Chinese inspired small and large plates. We shared their heritage platter, which was pricey at $52 but more than enough for two people plus plenty of leftovers. The duck was exceptional. Service was very good. Great experience and we will return.

Awesome food, great quality cuts and tasty dishes. Hospitality was on point. Best miso soup outside of Japan. Definitely recommend this as the number one Japanese restaurant in Downtown BC.
