Best Bistros in East Norwich

Food was excellent and it was priced fairly. The service was a bit slow, particularly when waiting for the check, but the larger problem was that the server did not come back to the table in a timely manner to ask if everything was satisfactory. That failure was reflected in the size of the gratuity. Having been in the restaurant business years ago, I know that it is essential to check with the customers soon after the food is delivered, as that would afford the opportunity to the server / kitchen to rectify any possible problem(s).

My partner and I had the most enjoyable time at Red. The warm decor and quaint atmosphere was very welcoming. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. As someone who eats gluten free I was thrilled with the amount of choices available. We had the Sicilian calamari, Lobster Fra Diavlo and the most incredible donut holes with warm caramel sauce and chocolate sauce. I highly recommend Red.

Wow—Sandbar absolutely blew us away! We stopped in for dinner and were lucky enough to try two incredible off-menu dishes that NEED to become permanent staples. The short rib tacos were hands down some of the best we’ve ever had—rich, tender, and packed with flavor. If these aren’t on the menu soon, it would be a crime! Then there was the halibut special with coconut… just wow. Perfectly cooked, with a silky, tropical twist that made every bite unforgettable. This dish deserves a permanent place on the menu! To top it all off, our server Edwin was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. We’re already counting down the days until our next visit. Sandbar, you’ve won us over!

This was our first time at Market Bistro but it won’t be our last. The food was excellent the service was professional and friendly.
