Best Breweries in Montchanin

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable dinner. I like the dimmed light, speakeasy vibe in the main dining area. Our server was very attentive and checked on us a lot but he never rushed us. The onion soup and the squash soup were both delicious. Our entrees, pappardelle bowl and burger, were so good with a lot of good flavor. The short rib in the pappardelle bowl was so tender and juicy, and the wine sauce was so flavorful but not salty. We had an Open Table reward voucher because we redeemed our Open Table points before going but the redemption number on the voucher didn’t work when the server entered it but the manager was very accommodating and manually deducted the money from our bill, which was very generous of them when they won’t be reimbursed the money by Open Table. It’s pathetic that Open Table rewards are a scam, I’m very disappointed in Open Table!

Iron Hill Brewery is always very good -- a great menu with many options, even for vegetarians. The quality of the food is always excellent. And every location is large, which helps keep the noise level down, never too noisy even on a weekend. Our waiter seemed to have too many tables to serve, so service was a little slower than I would've liked, but I still give the service a thumbs up because he was a nice guy and was definitely working very hard. For a nice night out, Iron Hill is always a great destination!

Iron Hill is one of our favorites. We have several favorite beers that we like and love the cheesesteak eggrolls. This time I tried a dish I hadn't had before this time- the fried chicken sandwich. It's really the first time I was not happy with the meal. It was supposed to come with lettuce and tomato but the tomato was missing (our waitress did get me one upon request) and the chicken was overcooked and dry. I used some sauce from the eggrolls to try to moisten it a bit but that didn't help much. My husband had the crab cake sandwich and it was very good. Lots of crab and tasty.

Great wings! And of course beer selection!! Dine at Iron Hill about 1-2 a month!

It was our first time there, and it was a great experience overall! It was Christmas Day, so we did not know what to expect as far as how busy they would be or what mood the servers would be in, etc. Lol. Our table got steaks, salmon, and a fish and chips. Everything was prepared well, and the hostess and server had great attitudes and were in the Christmas spirit. We will definitely go back.
