Le Philadelphia Magazine a récompensé le Brauhaus Schmitz de trois titres "Meilleur de" dans leurs numéros "Le Meilleur de Philly". Ouvert en 2009, le restaurant a fait renaître l'amour de la ville pour son patrimoine ethnique et a fait connaître à toute une génération de Philadelphiens les aliments de leurs ancêtres. En outre, Hager est aussi le propriétaire du Wursthaus Schmitz, dans l'historique Reading Terminal Market, une boutique de sandwichs et de charcuterie spécialisée dans les plats faits sur commande et les produits allemands vendus au poids. Afin d'accompagner au mieux les plats encensés du Brauhaus, Hager augmente sans cesse sa liste exceptionnelle de bières. Hager cultive des relations étroites avec des brasseurs rencontrés lors de ses voyages en Allemagne, et 29 de ses 30 bières sont originaires de ce pays. Pour beaucoup d'entre elles, il est sans doute le seul dans la ville, l'état ou même dans le pays à les servir. La plupart des 100 bières en bouteilles de sa liste proviennent également d'Allemagne.

Bienvenue à Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant à Chestnut Hill.
