Best British Restaurants in Porthleven

Everything was incredible. Staff were lovely and very attentive and could have a laugh. It’s very relaxed and there was a lovely anniversary card waiting for us when we arrived which we thought was incredibly thoughtful. The food was amazing from starters to dessert. No faults, we would 100% recommend and will definitely visit again. Thank you to all the staff that made our anniversary meal so wonderful.

Absolutely excellent service and food. Would like more varied meat options. Would prefer a more upright dining chair and bill to arrive without service charge added as it is a discretionary charge.

An excellent meal with great service and presentation - second to none I would recommend the Sunday roast to any one wanting enjoy a beautiful view, great food and wonderful wine.

If you want seafood, By The Sea has a great selection, and all freshly cooked. Granted it was quiet when we were in there but the guy who served and cooked did a great job. Chowder was full, fish, prawns, calamari and Sichuan Whitebait very tasty. We’d go again.
