Outstanding food, service, electric atmosphere can’t rave about it enough would recommend the ivy to anybody so so good

Absolutely stunning food & ambience. The staff at the bar were very attentive, though we didn't really appreciate a £10 service charge for a bottle of champagne we bought at the bar to take away...that was a bit cheeky! However, we still think we would like to return, & maybe stay over rather than just have a meal.

Wonderfully presented food set our tastebuds alight as our food arrived. Wine was good and chilled nicely. The courses were a little far apart and we had to ask for the bill. Overall a great memorable time

Booked for a pre Christmas family lunch. The food was excellent. Selected dishes were Roasted Turkey - lovely homemade stuffing, Festive Chicken Parmesan with pigs in blankets and Chicken with Wensleydale and cranberries with a mushroom sauce. All were delicious and the plates were left clean. The orange posset and crème brûlée for desert were also very good. I would thoroughly recommend eating at The Inn on the Moor. The ambience was lovely and Christmassy and the staff were all friendly, efficient and helpful. Thanks you for a memorable lunch

On a cold and rainy night in pre-Christmas York, we were glad to be able to secure a table for two. We read the menu and thought we would try the Monday night burger offer. The food exceeded our expectations by a mile. The quality was fantastic, the food piping hot, the service very good considering how busy it was with Christmas visitors. The surroundings so relaxed and comfortable we just had to stay for a lovely pud, a totally fab cheesecake with pear poached in mulled wine, a total showstopper! 😋 Altogether a lovely experience and only five minutes dash back to our hotel in the rain. Would definitely visit again.
