Best Californian Restaurants in South Los Angeles

It was definitely an excellent experience. If you have never been to a gastronomical type restaurant I would recommend dining at this restaurant. The price is on par with other restaurants that focuses on creating experiences. The food is creatively presented and tastefully prepared. The various drink pairings work well with the offerings. The staff is superb, providing insightful commentary on the cuisine. The ambience is nice with a low noise level and artsy vibe.

Beautiful atmosphere, the bar is perfect to wait for your table and have cocktails. So happy we have reservations. The grain bowl is actually coleslaw and should be re-imagined. That was a huge disappointment. Otherwise great service staff but the grain bowl is underwhelming and and should be taken off the menu. If I didn’t wanna have to wait for something else to arrive I should’ve just requested another dish.

Everything from the food to the service were great. It is as the name implies, open air. Therefore, be sure to wear something warm on a cold evening. For a first date, the noise levels were moderate enough to have a conversation, but you might have to lean in at times to hear your date. All said, I would go back. Tip: when you enter the hotel lobby, take a right to the elevators and go up to the second floor.

Service was absolutely incredible. Food was out of this world. Must try the full 7 course to experience everything. Kudos to Chef J. Kahn and the whole management team here, they’re running a great establishment.

The ambiance struck a perfect balance—intimate yet lively, making it easy to settle in and savor the moment while also feeling part of something vibrant and exciting. Whether it was the soft glow of the lighting or the gentle hum of conversation, the space had a magnetic charm that made the night unforgettable. Craig’s isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a place to experience. I’ll definitely be back.
