Best Chinese Restaurants in Edison Park

When one of my friends from Chicago found out I was coming to visit, she sent a list of restaurants. Tanta was top of her list. I was honestly a bit surprised to hear her favorite restaurant in Chicago is a Peruvian place (growing up with chain Peruvian) but after going to Tanta twice I see why it is her favorite. Perfect balance of flavors with a modern and inspired approach. The Lomo Saltado puts all others to shame.

Service was great. They got us in early when we arrive too early before our reservation. Food was outstanding. We would go back again.  love the vibe of this restaurant.

Great food and experience! Service was on the slower / less attentive side but overall we had a great time. Tried many dishes and they all were fantastic. Best crab rangoons I have had in Chicago so far!

Will never visit Chicago again without visiting. Please try the dumpling sampler. It was truly delicious. Service was amazing, food extraordinary, ambiance truly an experience. Notes - Get the dumpling sampler. - Order some hot tea with dessert. - Music can be load but the playlist/DJ was amazing. - Tables are close together, be prepared to shimmy around.

Shanghai Terrace is absolutely wonderful. It is eloquent… the service is professional yet friendly… They accommodate your needs..(like the lovely red shawls they gave us because it was a little drafty…or the fresh napkin that appeared instantly when my initial napkin had slipped off my lap… I didn’t even know) Max… our lead server/waiter is beyond description….He provided excellent menu recommendations and made sure that the timing of our meal service supported our theater commitment.. The duck and everything we ate was EXCELLENT…. I rarely write reviews… and I could go on but I had to write this one…ENJOY!!!!
