Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Clinton Township

Excellent food and superior service. Unique flavor combinations with a good wine menu.

We enjoyed our visit to Lumen. Greatly appreciated Riley and her explanation of various items. She was very attentive to the phases of our dining experience. Lumen was busy with fans downtown for the Lions game but there was no delay or confusion with our beverages or meals.

The restaurant is excellent, and should definitely be considered for a combination of ambience, location in downtown Detroit, food, and especially service (Rasool was excellent). The calamari was outstanding and one of the best we've ever had. We split the short ribs, and it was plenty, especially with dessert afterwards. A must try.

First time here. I took my mom for her birthday. The waiter we had was so nice and attentive. Food and drinks were great. We had the spinach and artichoke dip for starters with pita chips and it was so good. We also had the peach boozy drinks they were really good but a little bit too sweet for my liking. For our meal my mom got the boom boom shrimp and Brussel sprouts she said it was really good. I got the Sea bass that was so delicious. It came with a salad and their house dressing was amazing. After tasting my mom’s Brussels sprouts I had to get me some. Overall I will definitely be back I want to try their brunch menu.

Lovely experience from the service to the flavors to the presentation, it was just a lovely evening. Thank you all -Melanie, Antonio and everyone else. I left the restaurant exactly as I would want - sated from the food and feeling appreciated by the staff. I left you a smile!
