Best Contemporary Canadian Restaurants in Yonge and Lawrence

Donna’s is quite simply the greatest spot to eat in the city. The Sunday roast was the perfect treat on a snowstormy Sunday, but any day, any meal, any item, it’s all the best.

We very much enjoyed the lunar year high tea experience. Service was brisk and clear. The tea was great and the array of sandwiches, scones and desserts was fantastic. The ambiance was pleasant, everything was modern and clean, and we enjoyed the snow falling through the big windows. Would recommend.

Went for Valentine’s Day and it was amazing. Didn’t feel like the skimped out on portions cause it was a prix fixe menu. Probably one of the better meals I’ve had in my life. We did wine pairings too, it was awesome. Highly recommend.

We decided to take advantage of the Winterlicious menu at Sassafraz. The choices offered were a good variety and excellent value for money. The service was fantastic and the ambience was lovely. The restaurant is nice enough for a special occasion but unpretentious enough for a casual dinner as well. The cocktails were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend.
