So amazing, go treat yourself. This place and the people know what they are doing. What a beautiful experience and vibe.

Nice atmosphere. Knowledgeable wait staff. Varied and enticing menu options. Desserts were disappointing. Still, would go again. A Portland icon.

Higgins is THE place to go for excellent, fresh, creative food in downtown Portland. One feels welcomed, cared for and deliciously-fed while being elegant or casual, it matters not. An institution continues to thrive, thank goodness. One can patronize the bar or the dining room, whatever your pleasure. BTW, the wait staff is truly excellent and caring.

We sat at the counter and it was fun to watch the kitchen do their thing. They seem to have a solid system. Had the duck stack and the Salisbury steak and both were tasty. The steak was like eating a memory of a tv dinner I dreamed to be better, and this made that dream come true.

Dinner was amazing! Staff was amazing! They decorated the table for my niece’s birthday, gave us a picture and overall were pleasant humans. 10/10
