Best Contemporary Mexican Restaurants in Bucerías

Tintoque is always a lovely experience from the good to the wine to the atmosphere!

I made this reservation for my cousin and his wife that were visiting PV. It is one of our favorite places when we are there, and wanted them to try it. I also purchased a gift card for them to use, and the staff there was great about presenting it to them when they arrived. They had a wonderful time and loved every bit of it! Thank you to the staff for making this work!

We walked by the restaurant (La Casa) last week while exploring Bucerias. After discovering it was a Thierry Blouet (via daughter Vanessa) and had just opened recently, we had to try it out. Having dinned at Café des Artistes in PV, in the past, our expectations were high. Vanessa and staff (Gabriel and Daniel were our primary table hosts) were fantastic! Gabriel was a pleasure and talked through the menu with us effortlessly and with genuine pride. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed yet upscale while maintaining that "at home" feeling. You could feel Vanessa's creative side flowing through the many flavors we tasted. The mussels were fantastic, the broth worthy of a second loaf of bread to dip. The ratatouille is a must. The oysters with candied leek and buttery air are an example of her unique combinations that tickle the palate. The onion tart is bursting with flavors. The arugula lemon capers side dish (presented like a sharable salad) was refreshing and delightful. The char-grilled red snapper was a beautiful presentation, and the sauce served with it is a must-have combination. The sucking pig melted in your mouth with a sweet potato purée and sauce that blended together perfectly. The pear tart was a warm finish, and the chocolate flan with the rice cloud provided the perfect finish to complement the meal. Overall, the evening was a dining experience we will chalk up as one of our favorites in the 30 years we have been coming to Puerto Vallarta - Nuevo Vallarta - Bucerias area. The food at this restaurant is not to be missed. If you are a fan of La Tienda Grande in Ixtpapa you will enjoy this menu as it was created by the same chef. They are still working on training their team, so be patient with them. If you are looking for unique food in Nuevo Vallarta please check out La Lupee. In our group, we ordered ribs, pear and blue cheese tortellini, salmon, carbonara pasta, calamari, house salad, humous and carpaccio. Everything was amazing!
