Best Cuban Restaurants in New Vernon

Everything was amazingly delicious! From the food to the drinks to even dessert, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I got the Guantanamera mule, which is fresh and zippy. We ordered the tostones rellenos as an appetizer. They are so tasty! For dinner I ordered the seafood paella and my husband ordered the ropavieja. Both were extremely satisfying and seasoned perfectly. We ended our meal by sharing the tres leches cake. Our server was always super attentive, clearing the table when we were done and making sure to bring anything we needed. Given that we went on February 15th (Valentine’s Day weekend), it was fairly busy, but with a reservation we easily got our table and enjoyed the meal. Guantanamera is one of our favorite restaurants and it definitely did not disappoint!

Food was absolutely amazing, I cannot wait to go again and bring my friends with me! The restaurant itself was beautiful and the service was incredibly fast (you could argue they were quick because of the Valentine’s Season, but that still goes to show how quick they can be during a busy flow at all.) Servers were also very kind and accommodating.

It was good to be back at 1958 Cuban in Westfield- the food and service was once again excellent. We were also pleased to meet the owner who lives in our neighborhood. Highly recommend if you wish to taste authentic Cuban cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere with impeccable service.

Small place but wonderful food. Some of the best yuca I have ever had. Wonderful black beans as well
