Squid Ink pasta, polenta were fantastic, steak was not. The restaurant is beautiful and classy and we'll be back.More infoNinety AcresPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Bedminster•4.5
- DDavidNew Jersey •11 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoI brought my wife here to celebrate her birthday. I never got a chance to experience the Ryland Inn pre-Covid. The chef started us off with an amuse-bouche, a soup served in an espresso mug. As an appetizer, we had the crispy foraged maitake mushroom. It was very light and crispy, it reminded me of the coating on really good cod for fish and chips. Cocktail wise, I started off with the Alpine old fashioned which they smoked and my wife had a glass of Pinot Noir. For our entrees, my wife had the special which was a salmon with a parsley crust and fingerling potatoes. I went with the sea scallops with honey nut squash and maple-bacon jam. Both were very good. For dessert, we had a three cheese cheesecake and the Mexican chocolate soufflé. We enjoyed both. The soufflé was very good even without the vanilla-bourbon anglaise. The staff were all very friendly, from the valet at the front door, to the young women that took our coats, and the waitstaff that took our orders, filled our drinks and cleared the flatware. They had the fireplace going. There are sconces on the wall providing subtle lighting, along with small, cordless lamps on the tabletops. Since it's only about 15 minutes away, we'll probably return, even if it's just to hang out at the bar.More infoThe Ryland InnPrice: Expensive• American• Branchburg•4.4
