Calamari Fritti was excellent, with sweet hot chili dip - and about 5 times as big as a normal app. Sure, the $16 Pliny the Elder and general high prices aren't the greatest, but the swarm of servers and great attitudes earn it.More infoThe Grill at The Lodge at Torrey PinesPrice: Moderate• American• La Jolla•4.6

Unreal textures in the beef tartare. Zataar was an incredible seasoning choice for the carrots. Cavatappi was a special for the evening, & it was special indeed. Rockfish crudo was fresh asl (just fished for in the morning). And the pound cake was a top 3 dessert for me, ever. Meticulously crafted & everything cooked by the book. Could not recommend this place more. Kudos to Chef Logan!More infoCellar HandPrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• Hillcrest•4.6
- JjenniferSan Diego •6 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had a fantastic meal, including drinks, salad, dinner, dessert, and coffee. I had a pear deux for my starting drink, and it was decorated with a cinnamon stick and thin slice of pear. My husband had a whiskey blended with orange and blueberries. Both drinks were in tumblers and were delicious. I had the duck over risotto with the freshest peas and micro greens. The sauce was divine. My husband had the ribs over mashed potatoes, whereby the meat just fell off the bone. We finished with a pot of chocolate, with real whipped cream and a side of tangy raspberry sauce. The service was so perfect, checking on our progress and filling water with great timing. Thank you! This restaurant created a really enjoyable evening for us.More infoGreat Maple San DiegoPrice: Moderate• American• Hillcrest•4.8

Taking the Time to Crumble it instead of Cubing it like Spam would be appreciated. We will be back soon as the Food is Fresh, Ambiance is Cozy and People are Cool. Even the Cook’s Singing in the Kitchen was Special! Kevin K.More infoFarmer's Table - La MesaPrice: Moderate• Farm-to-table• La Mesa•4.3
