Best French American Restaurants in West Newton

Wonderful lunch. Interesting salad selection. Brussels Sprout Pomegranate Appetizer outstanding.

The staff was so welcoming and accommodating while we waited for our full party. The food was delicious including the Brussels sprouts, fried chicken, pancakes, tower sando, and bacon. The atmosphere was cozy and cool but not overly hip. Highly recommended.

My husband and son each like their steak cooked differently. Well they received exactly what they ordered and expectations were exceeded. Our food was outstanding. I had nicoise salad which I know is a reliable filling meal. We started with the beautiful charcuterie board. A surprise of mac and cheese was a delicious addition to our meal. And the ES famous bread pudding brought a new twist with butterscotch (a flavor I do not normally favor) but just enough to give the dessert a delicious taste, and not too much to drown it with too much sweetness. I know I'll be back. I keep coming back. Oh and Pablo, our server - he's fab.

Dinner was great at The Berkeley! The staff/service and the food and drinks were amazing. I had a strawberry mocktail, with lime and a splash of club soda (best I ever had), onion soup with Gruyère cheese, and roast chicken on garlic toast with watercress and chicken jus, and ended the dinner a wonderful dessert, mixed berries clafoutis.

This is a tiny restaurant attached to the hotel. What appears to be the main entrance to the restaurant was locked which was confusing at first. I had to enter through the hotel entrance and go through the lobby to get to the restaurant. The food and drinks were good once we got them. Service was extremely slow, likely due to being understaffed and having a large number of people show up at the same time to have dinner before the concert at TD. There was a long wait time (20min) for drinks to come out and food took even longer. The food itself was tasty and well made so I would give this place another chance to see if the service has improved.
