I had the lobster and chicken pie which was fantastic. Also I had their dessert soufflé which was also amazing! Everyone in our group of four was delighted though I was the only one to try something new! It is expensive but worth it!More info21Price: Expensive• British• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.8

- IIanLondon •5 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThe French Quarter remains one of the top three restaurants in Newcastle. A warm, welcoming atmosphere and knowledgeable, friendly staff are the first impression one receives. Food is exquisitely presented and a comprehensive wine list compliments the experience. I find that I frequently do not have enough superlatives to describe The French Quarter, a 'must go' for food lovers and foodies alike.More infoThe French QuarterPrice: Expensive• French• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.8

- DDebNorfolk/Suffolk •10 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 23, 2024Visiting Ripon for the weekend and researched places to eat and fortunatley found The Old Deanery. Set in lovely historic house that has been decorated with calm colours and a lovely relaxed feel. We arrived and were warmly welcomed and taken to our table. Limited covers in restaurant so we did not feel hemmed in at all and great to have lots of space around us. Started with a cocktail and opted for tasting menu with accompanying wine flight. Exceptional food from the start with great wines that complimented the food. Some amazing tastes and experiences and it was clear that there was a real enthusiasm for the food and drink The Old Deanery provided. Small portions but you need that with a tasting menu and great to be able to enjoy the component flavours of the food down to the micro herbs and dressings Just lovely to go somewhere out of a big city and get such a high standard of food and service. We took over 3 hours to enjoy our fantastic meal and felt cared for all the time with nothing too much effort. Would highly recommend and we will make sure we visit Ripon again so we can return to The Old Deanery.More infoThe Old DeaneryPrice: Very Expensive• British• Ripon•4.7
