- TToriVIPWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoFrom the moment I stepped into La Grande Boucherie I felt welcomed. The ambiance of the restaurant is so enchanting from the decor to the professionalism of the staff. I arrived alone waiting for the rest of my party to join and still felt attended to and was sat. Our server, Christopher immediately greeting me with water and recommendations of the menu. Once my friend joined me my experience really took off. I was guided through the menu with the best cocktails and appetizers to start. We went with the bottomless bubbles . After the first mimosa you could tell the juice was fresh and the champagne crisp. We followed with a lobster bisque that you could tell upon the first spoonful it was full of marinated seafood stock flavor. The bread that they brought to the table with salted butter complimented it so well as if it was necessary considering the soup came with a fresh croissant . I’ll probably be dreaming of the soup tomorrow. We enjoyed the Wagyu Carpaccio which was well balanced with the rich marble of the wagyu and the saltiness of the capers on the plate. I was reaching a point of fullness and then my entree came out. I opted for a classic, Eggs Benedict, not being a huge fan of eggs I appreciate a well crafted Hollandaise, and that is exactly what I got. The English muffin tasted fresh and the Canadian bacon thinly sliced with the perfect balance of saltiness to pair with the best poarched egg. We finished our meal with a Lemon Sorbet unable to fully commit to a big dessert but even the simplicity of the 3 scoops absolutely exceeded my expectations. A perfect finisher to a meal I’ll probably be talking about for the next few weeks. I am so excited to continue to recommend this restaurant to my friends and traveling family. A truly picturesque experience where I don’t have to worry about the service or the food matching the high standards of what is seen online. They truly deliver.More infoLa Grande Boucherie - DCPrice: Very Expensive• French• Washington•4.4
- MMeganWashington, D.C. Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThis was our first trip to Julii and we had a wonderful experience. Service was quick, friendly and professional. We have the evil eye cocktail and a French 75 - both were delicious and well balanced. We had 4 food items and all were delicious but the Crispy Trout stole the show. The presentation was beautiful and it was one of the best dishes I’ve had at a restaurant, ever. I feel the portion sizes were generous and well worth the price tag. We can’t wait to go back!More infoJuliiPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• North Bethesda•4.7

Afterwards, free champagne samples and a slice of their amazing Buche de Noel. A bargain for about $40 for two. - BbryanVIPWashington, D.C. Area •19 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoIn speaking with our waiter I realized I’ve been delighted by dining at Ches Francois for 40 years. We arrived at 6:00 pm and shortly after being seated my wife and I were greeted by the owner, Chez Jacque. I congratulated Jacque in celebrating the Haeringer family’s 70th year owning and operating Chez Francois. (there was a large stand alone plaque at the entrance announcing the 70 years) Jacque’s comment when I congratulated him was, “yes two generations of crazy restaurateurs”. I could not argue with him. Only absolute dedication, commitment and tireless energy produces the wonderfully amazing results this family has delivered decade after decade. Every bite of food I’ve ever eaten at Chez Francois has been a culinary delight. Every meal I’ve had (I estimate in the neighborhood of 150 meals) have been absolutely enjoyable. Thank you for making my life’s journey a bit more special and Merry Christmas Chez Jacques to you, your family and your entire staff. Gratefully yours Bryan BMore infoL'Auberge Chez FrancoisPrice: Very Expensive• French• Great Falls•4.9
