- JJudithVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •57 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe are not newcomers to Absinthe and we are always happy to be there . . . good food, excellent service in a lovely place in the heart of Hayes Valley. Today was especially nice. We had a lovely table in a corner with a view of the street through the front window. The waiter was exceptional and the food was fine. As old friends who hadn't seen each other in a while we enjoyed the quiet in the dining room, so nice to have a conversation. We were celebrating a birthday and exchanging Christmas gifts, our group having missed our usual holiday gathering for not so happy reasons. So we were delighted to be together and it was lovely to be able to sit and visit, unrushed in a place we have always enjoyed.More infoAbsinthe Brasserie and Bar - SFPrice: Expensive• French• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.8

- JJosephWashington, D.C. Area •14 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agowe enjoyed a Parisean experience. My partner enjoyed a martini as requested ice cold with olives on the side while enjoyed the first of 2 glasses of white burgundy. For appetitizers, we enjoyed one each cups of onion soup and lobster bisque, followed by escargot and the Reve salad. Then the entree a special of the night Tartiflette a hearty combination of scallop potatoes, cheese, onions, and bacon in several layers half of which we were happy to take home. It was extraordinary along with our server Arlene. Looking forward to returning here for more creations.More infoRevePrice: Very Expensive• French• Lafayette•4.8
