- TThomasAtlanta Metro •33 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoOur meal was top notch, my wife’s bass special was well cooked and nicely seasoned. My duck was the best I have eaten. The escargot appetizer was perfectly seasoned. Our server, Christin, was intuitive in her service and fun to chat with vs as food was brought. Highly recommended.More info39 Rue de Jean - CharlestonPrice: Expensive• French• Downtown Charleston•4.4

- BBarryCharlotte •19 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 28, 2024Food was absolutely wonderful! Nice modest wine selection - the Beaujolais Gamay was nice for the meal. We shared the mushroom tart appetizer - what a great way to begin the meal. My wife had monkfish and I had the special chicken. Both were terrific. At midway, we swapped so we eat had half of each plate. The chicken was definitely the best chicken breast dish I've ever eaten - very moist and flavorful. The dessert was flan or creme caramel. Cooked to perfection. What a splendid finale to eating. Service was wonderful. They informed us about all the dishes and helped us choose. It was just a really, really nice dinner in an area where there are lots of wonderful restaurants.More infoMaisonPrice: Expensive• French• Downtown Charleston•4.9
- SBSarahBWest Palm Beach •6 reviews5.0Dined on Oct 11, 2024Let me start by saying Mike is an incredible host, server, chef, and historian. This was a one of a kind experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique culinary experience in Charleston. While it is not a conventional restaurant, Mike takes you on a culinary journey of 18th and 19th century low country cuisine, keeping things as authentic as possible while still appealing to our modern palates. Each dish was carefully crafted and thoughtfully prepared. The table was full of strangers, but we all got to chat and listen to Mike’s wonderful presentation of Charleston history to go along with each dish. Our specific meal was centered around Legacy families of Charleston, so we enjoyed dishes each family would have also enjoyed. Mike deserves all of the attention and reservations he can handle. As he says, he’s one of Charleston’s best kept secrets, and I believe that to be true because I had a fantastic experience.More infoHistoric Charleston Supper ClubPrice: Very Expensive• American• Downtown Charleston•4.6
