The Hemingway is a good quality pub that serves delicious no-nonsense grub.You can see every dish being made to order in our open plan kitchen- no soggy microwaved frozen meals here! We take great care in sourcing our produce direct from the best suppliers both locally and abroad. Our menu is a mix of classic crowd pleasers and regularly changing seasonal dishes, which means you'll always find something to tempt your taste buds (even if you're in every day!).We are a pub, not a cocktail bar and while we make a blinding Bloody Mary, and will happily mix you an Aperol Spritz or Negroni, we don't do Pina Coladas. That said, we are extremely proud of our wide range of spirits from around the globe, which (where possible) we offer at affordable prices. The wine list has been chosen to provide a simple but high quality selection that goes as well with our food as it does with some good company.

La famille qui gère et exploite ce restaurant travaille avec passion afin de proposer à sa clientèle une gamme de produits faits maison, et élaborés à partir d’ingrédients de qualité, comme par exemple les rares viandes de race, qui vous surprendront par leur saveur. La production locale est privilégiée. Le menu change au gré des saisons et les portions sont généreuses. Les divers plats du jour changent chaque semaine. La carte des vins est vraiment large, vous y trouverez à coup sûr ce que vous cherchez. Ajoutez à cela un personnel très accueillant et à votre écoute. Le restaurant dispose d’un menu à la carte. Pour les petites faims, le bar vous propose des alternatives plus légères. Sachez que chaque dimanche, vous pouvez venir tester un menu unique incluant toujours un très bon rôti en guise de plat principal. En plus du restaurant superbement décoré, l’établissement dispose d’un bar lounge très confortable, ainsi que d’un petit jardin extérieur équipé d’une aire de jeux pour les enfants. Bienvenue à La Wilmington, une maison publique cotée datant du 19ème siècle, située au cœur de Clerkenwell. Ici, l'honnêteté et la qualité de la nourriture sont un objectif. On tente de l'atteindre en mettant l'accent sur l'imagination dans la préparation d'une cuisine britannique moderne, en utilisant des produits frais provenant de fournisseurs locaux. Les menus changent tous les mois pour refléter la disponibilité des produits. Les plats de signature sont: les côtes de boeuf braisées 6h pour deux, la joue de bœuf braisée à la sauce Worcestershire, servie dans un pain brioché avec des frites coupées à la main et de la sauce. Les boissons célèbrent aussi l'esprit d'entreprise, avec 14 fûts de bières et de cidres, et 5 ales qui changent, avec une emphase mise sur les producteurs de Londres. Parmi les éléments qui ressortent de la liste des vins se trouvent entre autres le Gamay "Thirst" avec une teinte de rose vibrant, mais des arômes de fraises et de canneberges, ou le Gifford's Hall Bacchus Vintage de Suffolk, en Angleterre, un beau mariage de Riesling et de Sylvaner. Cette variété a une qualité distinctive aromatique, légèrement siliceuse, parce que chaque saison apporte sa propre individualité.

Had an outstanding experience last night for my son’s 18th; outstanding food and personal service, it’s a shame we aren’t often in Shoreditch because this place is a gem Scallops were a must, also the duck and the scotch eggs. Pork and steak were perfect too. We had a lot of the menu and nothing let us down.
