There is adequate car parking available behind the pub across a narrow bridge . Lighting could be better at night but otherwise fine. Staff were welcoming and friendly . Dining areas were warm and background noise was negligible allowing easy relaxed conversation in a cosy atmosphere. Sunday menu was extensive although one or two items had run out. Small gripes include the lack of gluten free Yorkshire Puds ( easy to store in a freezer) , the absence of crackling with roast pork and lack of Rioja by the glass . Desserts however were delicious and the roast main courses were good as expected. £36 per head average incl drinks was decent but not exceptional value.
