We are ‘An all-season pub’, warming fires in the winter and relaxing in the garden through the summer months. On Sundays you’d think the whole of Yorkshire had descend on the pub. Sundays are something of an institution, it’s the busiest day of the week, with Roast Dinners taking the centre stageWe pride our self on being accessible, whilst dishes on the main menu can cost from £14.00 to £20.00, there's a delicious take on pub classics that cost around the £10.00 mark, packed with drinkers and eaters alike. Up in the Restaurant there is a more subtle affair, serving plates of food designed to reflect the wonderful local produce. We aim to combine the traditional local pub with a a top-notch dining destination. A melting pot of local’s who want to avoid the chore of cooking, alongside those looking to have a blow out meal celebrating all sorts of events. Most importantly dogs & muddy boots welcome!

The food is lovely but the price can be a little on the high side - £14 or so for three crispy mussels and a bit of stonebass seemed a bit over the top for a starter but it was very, very good and we were looking for something a bit special. On the whole, it was a very, very positive experience. It was a return visit, and we will go back.

Been here many times and have enjoyed traditional Sunday roast (once) and the seafood sharing platter (many times). Always been a really good meal on here. On this occasion we opted for the Steak Sharing Board (2 x 10oz steaks plus a host of trimmings) for my girlfriend and I, and we weren't disappointed. Simply superb. A little more than we usually spend but happy to advise this is a case of you get what you pay for. Each of the sauces (blue cheese/peppercorn) was spot on as well I don't often leave reviews but this was worthy of me taking the time to come on here and do so. Really did enjoy it Also, must commend the friendly service from the two staff who were dealing with us

We’ve been here a few times now. The food is amazing. The Sunday roast is the best! We went on a week night this time and enjoyed the sea food chowder with a side of chips. We had shared starters and a dessert! Loved it all. The staff are fabulous; attentive and friendly. The building is cute and cosy. Fairy lights and candles. Would throughly recommend, but you need to book well in advance! It’s popular. Rightly so.
