Best Global Restaurants in Bowness

It is always lovely to visit Highwood; the culinary students are doing a great job. The menu are well presented by the server, who is always kind and polite. The food presentation was spot-on and beautiful. I had the salad Nicoise / Spinach dip and a Mushroom pizza, and all tasted good. The only comment I would have today is the Mushroom pizza was a bit on the dry side, and my "personal" choice is always to give the mushroom a quick saute before adding to the pizza, but it was ok. Not the last visit :-)

Our second visit was for my wife's birthday. The place was very busy on a Saturday night and we were thankful for making an online reservation which was super easy to do. I was a little disappointed that after indicating "birthday" in the occasion field of the reservation request that no one mentioned it nor did we even get seated in the DR but my wife didn't care so.... The server was very knowledgeable but not the most attentive. She walked by our drinks on the bar twice with empty hands even though we were 10 feet from the bar and didn't come to ask how our meals were or if we needed anything. I had to ask motion for fresh pepper before she did. Now that we've addressed those very minor issues let's talk about the good. The cocktails were unique and very good. I had Guinesss on tap amd my wife enjoyed a couple fo the house cocktails both of which she loved and now wants to make at home. Oh oh... The food was even better. I had lamb shank (again) and it might have been better the second time if possible. My wife had prime rib and suffice to say it was one of the rare times I've seen her finish her meal. Dessert was the home made black forest and it was moist, light and delicious. We're already looking forward to our next visit. Can't tell you how long we've waited to have a good neighborhood restaurant where the decor, service and food are all top notch.

We were able to truly enjoy our evening thanks to the lighthearted, easygoing, friendly waitress. Food was good as always, service was excellent.

Lunch with my wife and a good friend. We were seated promptly after arriving. Our server, Mika, served us water right away. She came back asking about drinks which came shortly after. In be a few minutes our food order was taken and the food was very good. Great time.
