Best Indian Restaurants in Stamford

Coromandel is probably the best Indian restaurant in the US and a very good restaurant of any kind.

The food was excellent, especially the chicken tikka masala... I want that recipe! There's plenty of attentive staff which is great in this day and age. It took a while to get my drink and we asked for a refill and sauces which we never got. But otherwise, great experience and a good value!

Give yourself and your party time. as the drinks and food arrived rather slowly. Food though was delicious. We had an early evening reservation (5:15) on a Friday night and there were lots of available tables, with a few people coming in for pick up orders. By the time we left though (7:30ish) the place was full. Too full to order dessert but very happy with the meal and certainly the selections on the menu.

I have spent many birthday celebrations at Jewel of Himalaya and it never disappoints. Love their food. Love their service. And especially love how they help you celebrate your birthday with a sparkling candle, Nepalese gong and masks, and serenade you with the Happy Birthday song. Thank you Jewel. You helped make my birthday and my friend’s birthday very special.
