Best Italian Restaurants in Aurora

We ordered the arancini appetizer. While delicious we received 3 portions not much bigger than golf balls for 12.00. They came to the table warm, not hot. We had pasta entrees and they were good. Portion size good but, not large- no take home. You don’t get bread at the table. Our server asked if we wanted a slice of bread with our entree and we all said yes. It was a very thin half slice of bread. It was buttered and grilled. Definitely not big enough to soak up the sauce from our pasta. We had tiramisu and vanilla gelato for dessert. The gelato was good a single scoop. The tiramisu was delicious but, was a 2x3 inch piece for 9.00. Our server was pleasant but, not overly attentive. We were sat near the front door and it was 20 degrees outside so, it was not pleasant when the door was opened. One thing that I hate- the server had a hand held device for taking payments. She swiped my card then handed me the device for tip and signature. The device had buttons for 18, 20 and 22% tip or a custom tip button. I don’t like a server standing over me watching. To me it’s uncomfortable. We had a nice lunch(off dinner menu) but, We thought it was a bit pricey especially for the portion sizes. Probably won’t order off dinner menu but, will probably go back and try the lunch specials which, sounded yummy.

One of my favorite restaurants! Food is excellent- especially the Pollo Milanese and the salad Francesca. Very attentive service - maybe a bit too much as several people wanted to clear plates when we were still slowly eating from them.

John, the manager is an amazing person who always gives us the best service possible! And for sure, all the team too!!! Him and the team make us feel like we are sitting right at home. Davanti is definitely our favorite place in Downtown Naperville and I’m sure it will be yours too.

This was the best gluten free pizza I ever had! All of our food was great, but I am so happy I found a place to go for my pizza cravings!

We really enjoyed our dinner experience on Christmas Eve at Francesca’s. The place was packed but they managed it well. Our server Margeaux was attentive, positive and served us well. I had the Chilean sea bass special which was delicious! The sauce did not overpower the fish. Also had a Venetian G&T which had a surprisingly complex fresh flavor. Loved it! my husband had the prime filet special and it was tender and very flavorful. Overall this place has excellent food, service and ambience.
