Sal grew up in a small town in Sicily, where he spent years helping his mother in the kitchen. In the 1960’s he began his American journey, working under a chef on Long Island, where, according to Sal, he learned a few tricks. Sal would soon carry his old country Italian tradition, mixed with some New York flare, to Middle Tennessee. By this time, he had Italian food and classic New York style pizza down to an art. Sal was an authentic, never compromising on quality, freshness, or passion. Here at Sal’s we are carrying on his legacy in everything from our made daily dough, to our homemade sauces. In everything we do, we sprinkle in authenticity, tradition, and a lot of love.

    We were fans of Amerigo a few years ago but their food quality and service had declined. We tried Amerigo again a few months ago and were pleasantly surprised. We've returned several times in recent months and been very satisfied with the service (Sarah is a great server!) and food. Last night I observed another party with an issue with their order. The kitchen manager showed up, handled the situation with grace and the customers were very happy with their correcting any problems. Last, we've gotten to the point that we avoid loud restaurants. Amerigo offers a nice ambience and a more quiet experience. (So if you try them, please keep your voice down. :-) )

    Took a group of 9 for dinner on Christmas Eve. Extremely busy as you can imagine. The entire staff was prompt, courteous, and professional during a rush that had to be stressful. The hostess was amazing.!! Highly recommend.
