- MMichaelVIPNew York City •12 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThe food is authentic and wonderful. I know home-cooked Italian food firsthand and that's what this is. The La Famiglia with "Sunday Sauce" is the epitome that f this. Be warned this way too much for one person. Order one and share it. That also makes the $44 sticker shock much more reasonable. - SsherryVIPWashington, D.C. Area •133 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agoOlio e Piu is hot, both in atmosphere and food. The vibe is exciting and the food is outstanding. I love spaghetti carbonara, but most places make it gooey and thick. The carbonara at Olio e Piu was terrific -- from the al dente pasta to the brilliant idea of topping it with an egg yolk to mix in yourself. Cooked by the hot spaghetti, the egg yolk made the pasta sauce outstanding. The Fritto Primavera appetizer was a wonderful, gently fried riff on the usual Fritto Misto. The calamari was particularly good, as was the fried shrimp. But by far the very best thing on my table was the incredible Limoncello sorbet topped with Limoncello. I adore lemon sorbet and this was the best I've had since my first taste at the cafe at the Louvre. I was impressed and well fed -- and I'm looking forward to going back soon.More infoOlio e Più - DCPrice: Expensive• Italian• Washington•4.3
- GGavinVIPLondon •29 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoIt was Valentine’s Night, so I feel we were lucky to get anything anywhere, however Angolo’s looked lovely and so we settled for some Italian food. The service was excellent, the ambience (we were upstairs, the original booking said “outside” but thankfully the owner’s sense prevailed… it was very cold out there!) was excellent. And - come hungry! Huge portions! I only drop one star as we were offered only the Valentine’s Day menu when others were offered (and ordered from) the standard menu, which offered more choice. But that’s only minor in the scheme of things. Thanks to you all.More infoAngolo RistorantePrice: Moderate• Italian• Georgetown•4.5
- KkevinVIPWashington, D.C. Area •7 reviews4.0Dined 7 days agoNice place. Helpful wait staff. Disappointed that for Valentine’s day there was a fixed price/menu presented to us. But others near us appeared to have ordered items on the regular menu. We were simply left the fixed menu on our table with no explanation. Wish we were informed of the options and given a choice. Otherwise, nice meal. Nice place.More infoFlavioPrice: Expensive• Italian• Georgetown•4.3
- PParrisVirginia •11 reviews4.0Dined on Feb 13, 2025We showed up to celebrate my wife’s birthday and the place was empty at front desk for a bit. When someone showed up, the young woman asked where our reservation was made. I told her it was via OpenTable and was for dining. She seemed flustered and asked three more times after which I handed her my phone and the app to see if that made it easier for her. She expressed some frustration at something, not sure what, but finally proceeded to guide us to a table. The restaurant was only busy near the bar so I’m not sure why the host/hostess area was vacant for so long but it was mid-week so it’s plausible to have reduced staff at the time. We were served and waited on by a wonderful bartender who was tasked with cover the entire restaurant and the bar. That bothered us a little bit that she had to cover so much ground, when there were two people at the hostess station, in a non-rush period, that could’ve easily helped her out, as the bar was full when we came in. Nonetheless, our bartender/waitress was PHENOMENAL!!! Great service, vibes, and always professional. If we were to come back, we’d be glad to just be served/waited on by her. On to the food: - Lobster Flatbread - 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 that thing was amazing. I don’t usually do flatbreads, but was encouraged by my wife to switch it up. Every bite was amazing, right along with the garden salad on the side. - Bourbon Refresh - I’ve never had quite a drink with made with bourbon before. Truly refreshing and almost teleported me to spring time on the patio enjoying the breeze without a care in the world. - ultimate grilled cheese - my wife surprised at how much she enjoyed it. The person who brought it from the kitchen mistakenly called it a BLT, which threw both of us off. Nonetheless, she enjoyed every bite. - shareable sliders - too notch, tender, flavorful, would definitely recommend. We may patron the establishment again during a different time slot and day of the week, especially to see the gaming options.More infoPinstripes - GeorgetownPrice: Moderate• American• Georgetown•4.1
