He also suggested the winter Negroni drink and it was fantastic! We started with the salted beets and the hiromasa crudo both were fresh and light. We had the skate cheeks, the texture of the fish was flaky and had a bit of crunch on top. The ricotta dumplings had my mouth watering from the smell as I broke open the first dumpling. It had the perfect amount of heat and a slight smokiness that was so freaking good you want to lick the bowl. Hubby ordered the veal osso buco and raved about it. I had the orata and it was flaky and delicious. Most places that excel at the main food are not so terrific with desserts but at Bastia both the panna cota and the basque cheesecake had unique flavors that were a perfect ending. Service was incredible and allowed us to have conversation but never missed a beat on clearing and presenting the next course. We’ve been to a lot of really good restaurants but Bastia is top 3 of them all. There are a lot of excellent restaurants in Philadelphia and we will choose to return to Bastia.More infoBastiaPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Fishtown•4.8
- LLaurenVIPPhiladelphia County •11 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe went on Christmas Eve for drinks at the bar with friends and then a 5 course prix fixe dinner for 2. Both experiences were fabulous. Quality bartender and the table service team was top notch: professionally urgent, menu advice, flexible to small adjustments, on top of clearing and packaging to go, no time holes in waiting for food or drinks, EXCELLENT FOOD. I am embarrassed I lived in Philly for 21 years before coming here. I have been missing out. Will definitely be back.More infoBistro RomanoPrice: Moderate• Italian• Society Hill•4.8

- RRyanPhiladelphia County •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe had an amazing meal here with a party of 8 including 2 little kids and 2 tweens. Great quiet space with large windows for people watching. The food was amazing. Everyone enjoyed their meals even our picky eaters and their desserts were exceptional. We appreciated the good service too and kind staff.More infoLa Fontana Della CittaPrice: Moderate• Italian• Rittenhouse Square•4.3
- NNicolePhiladelphia County •13 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 18, 2024So good ! From start to finish - excellent. Understated and underrated. Service ambiance and good quality all 5 stars. We order one main dish each and a handful of mezze items and sides like beets and basmati rice and fries. The fries were good but not great and out of everything we ordered, happened to be my least favorite. King salmon was my main course and was so delicious and flavorful - there was no stopping me from finishing it. I only recently came here for happy hour and once many years ago for dinner and I have to say, it was great to be back and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend.More infoSpice FinchPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Center City•4.8
