Best Mediterranean Restaurants in Irving

We haven’t been out to dinner in a few months because of the way the food Wes prepared. Seemed every meal was rushed as in if you ordered a steak dinner the steak would be burnt on the outside and cold on the inside and the sides that came with it would either be extremely hot or cold. The wait staff seemed rushed. Calabrese was a great combination of the way restaurants should be. The welcome from your staff was warm and professional. The waiter we had was very friendly and not rushed. He was very educated about what menu. And about what his job was. Everything came out as advertised and told to us. From the start to finish. Even Theo we weren’t rushed we were only there less than 2 hours with the valentines dinner menu. Most restaurants should offer menus on a regular basis to make the restaurant experience easier and less stress. We will definitely be back to Calabrese.

Kleo at the Indigo Hotel in Irving was a solid experience. The food was good, and the service—while a bit slow—was very friendly and attentive. We visited for both Valentine’s dinner and breakfast, and both were enjoyable. Drinks were well-made, and the baked feta was the standout dish. Would I rush back? Not necessarily—it wasn’t life-changing—but it’s definitely worth trying at least once.

Valentine's Day is a challenge for any restaurant, but Nikki's Greek Bistro and Lounge was overall able to keep up. Service was slightly stalled due to the number of active tables, but VERY friendly and helpful. The whole roasted fish, charred octopus and lemon potatoes were a wonderful blend of flavours and delicious. The vegetable plate seemed like an afterthought, as the food temperature was warm at best but still delivered in terms of flavours and herbs you don't taste anywhere else. Will definitely return and try the lamb and three dip appetizer- it was what everyone else was ordering!

Great atmosphere, relaxed and unhurried. Diverse menu with healthy but tasty options. Service was excellent but there were occasional lags in time. We were in no hurry though. I wish they would clarify the seating available in the Perch, whether any is inside or all is outside.
