Best Mediterranean Restaurants in Skokie

First time trying the Aba Happy hour food! The spreads sampler gave us a chance to try them all and the Crispy chicken had the perfect crispy skin and heat from the different peppers! Falafels and shrimp were really good. Carrot cake was overly spiced and a bit dry so going to skip that next time!

The restaurant is outstanding and beautiful. The food is outstanding. The service was a little slow at first, especially for a Monday night (but it was packed, on a Monday night!) And the line cook salting the crispy potatoes was waaaaay too heavy handed. I politely and not even remotely annoyed mentioned it to the server and they comped both the potatoes and one of our desserts, which was totally unnecessary and unexpected. We would come back again and again. In fact this is my second trip!

I started with two plates and just kept ordering more, as an enthusiast for good food - i can promise this place will never get a bad review for food, hospitality or taste. This is the perfect Turkish food!

We had the best time and loved our menu choices which included the trio spread sampler, moussaka and the chicken skewer entree. My daughter and I loved everything and look forward to enjoying our leftovers at home. Service was great in the very busy dining room! We love Avli.

Wonderful experience! First time at Francesca but we will definitely be back! We started out with the CARPACCIO CON AVOCADO, along with their fresh bread - fantastic! My husband ordered ROLLI ALLA FRANCESCA, which he was very happy with. I ordered AGNOLOTTI QUATTRO FORMAGGI, delicious little pasta pillows with wild mushrooms & brown butter sauce. Well balanced, and delicious! We went for the classic tiramisu, the best I’ve ever had! We also ordered the Sticky Toffee Carrot Cake. My husband orders carrot cake wherever we go & he said this was definitely in his top 3. The coffee was simple, classic and delicious. Along with solid service, the manager came over to introduce himself & check on us. Chefs kiss to this entire dining experience!
