Best Modern Australian Restaurants in Smiths Gully

This was an exceptional experience. Everything had been thought out to the minute detail. We have been to many 3* Michelin restaurants in Europe and this restaurant equates to the best. The food was wonderful , the service second to none. The culinary theatre was spectacular. You felt the team worked like a well oiled machine. Everyone pitched in, down to the sommelier also waiting on table. You felt that this was a culinary family who were keen to ensure that every diner had the very best experience. This meal was a celebration of our 50 th wedding anniversary and the team were keen to acknowledge this. There were so many nice touches that there were too many to mention individually. The wine parings were super and the sommelier was helpful, well informed and above all enthusiastic about the wines he had on his list. This is a real gem one that Melbourne and Australia should be really proud of. We can not recommend it more highly.

Had the best time at Love Letter restaurant and bar! The super friendly and attentive team made me feel so welcome right from the start. The Splice cocktail is AHHH-mazing – legit tasted like the ice cream! I also had the 250g eye fillet and wedge salad with thick-cut bacon, and wow, it was absolutely delicious. Such a fantastic spot – can’t wait to go back!

The young man who looked after us for lunch on Sunday was exceptional He remembered us from a previous visit and was so attentive to our needs . The minute we arrived he made us feel welcome and throughout our lunch he made sure we well looked after . The food was fabulous, the best calamari I have had and my partner works in a fine dining restaurant so that’s saying something. Let’s just say our lunch ended at 6 pm we were enjoying our dining experience that much . We will be back thank you
