Malin is a small neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Rathdowne Village, Carlton North. Set in an 1880s property on the corner of Curtain and Rathdowne streets, the site has been renovated to honour the heritage of the building. The food menu, developed by Chef Clement Pilatre, samples European cuisine and showcases seasonal produce and frequently changing dishes. The drinks list favours emerging wine producers, while also giving a nod to the classics. Malin aims to deliver engaging service 5 days a week; with dinner served Wednesday to Saturday and lunch on Saturday and Sunday.     I had an amazing time at this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the stage for an unforgettable meal. The food was absolutely delicious—each dish was crafted with care, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. The quality of the ingredients really stood out, and it was clear that a lot of thought went into the menu. The service was top-notch as well. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, offering helpful suggestions and making sure everything was just right. All in all, it was a fantastic experience that I’ll definitely be returning for. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal!

    Delicious food! Very friendly and attentive staff. We were in the terrace and so it was quiet. Highly recommend!

    Far better steak than most steakhouses that specialize in the dish!! Side dishes were fantastic especially the Brussels sprouts Kudos to all the staff! Our favourite Goto for special events!

    Great and attentive service. Fantastic food and very generous portions. We eat A LOT and didn’t manage to finish it all and for $49 per head you cannot complain! Fabulous and highly recommended
