Mr Stern made a point of coming around to each table to see how we were doing. Honored our reservation on time. Loved the little touch of putting a tiny light in each drink to make them glow. Brunch menu had a wonderful assortment to choose from. Only down side…slightly pricey for the amount of food you get. But I do understand food prices are out of control. And it was noisy, we sat next to a birthday party of ladies that certainly enjoyed themselves. Not the restaurants fault, just made it difficult to carry on a conversation. We would definitely return.More infoStern & BowPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Closter•4.7
- NNancyNew York City •15 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoOceano's is always outstanding!! We brought friends who had never been there before, and they loved it! The food is very well-prepared and delicious! The service was outstanding, being very attentive but not at all intrusive. The ambiance is elegant and quiet, so that we had no problem talking in a normal speaking volume. If I were to make any negative comment at all, it would be that one of our diners, who has an allergy to onions and peppers, had a very difficult time finding something to eat, since there were no accommodations for that issue, and almost all of their side dishes had onions in them. They could not make any side dish from scratch, so she only was able to have vegetables. They could not make the risotto, rice, potatoes - nothing without onions, which I found rather strange. Most restaurants are more than willing to accommodate changes for allergy issues. Also, no one liked the Ekmek dessert, but the Vesuvius was delicious! Otherwise, it was fantastic! Bear in mind that it is pricey, but worth it. It was over $100 per person with no alcohol.More infoOceanos RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Fairlawn•4.8
