Best Peruvian Restaurants in Tamiami

Upon recommendation from hotel, we visited this Peruvian restaurant. Our waiter, Victor, was knowledgeable and helpful in pointing out recommendations in each section of the menu. The food was delicious. Strongly recommend visiting.

As a fellow industry worker from West Kendall, it’s refreshing to see a staple in West Kendall that hits every category, service and hospitality on point, Andres was knowledgeable on the menu, and patient. Overall, it’s one of Dade County’s best. Bartender that worked last nights shift was on point, displayed elegance and professionalism as he built his rounds. Host moving around like a swan, and controlling the pace of the floor.

It was an unforgettable culinary experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance made us feel instantly welcome. The menu was a delightful journey through traditional Peruvian flavors, with a perfect balance of authenticity and creativity. The lomo saltado was cooked to perfection—tender beef, vibrant vegetables, and a savory sauce that had me savoring every bite. And the sangria was the best I’ve ever had, a perfect way to round out the meal. What truly set this experience apart was the exceptional service we received, especially from our waiter, Jose. Jose went above and beyond to make our evening special. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, as he recommended dishes that perfectly suited our tastes. He was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring we always had what we needed while allowing us to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. Jose’s friendly demeanor and genuine passion for the cuisine elevated our entire dining experience. I cannot recommend Bocas House Doral enough. Whether you’re a fan of Peruvian food or trying it for the first time, this is the place to go. And if you’re lucky enough to have Jose as your waiter, you’re in for an even more memorable evening. This is our new favouite restaurant! On vacation with my son, we could not find parking near the restaurants we wanted to try in the cool shopping areas so we went to get gas and spotted what we thought was a normal sushi restaurant with lots of parking in front of it. We were wrong, this is not your run of the mill sushi restaurant! Miyako is a Peruvian/Japanese fushion restaurant and it was unbelievable! Our waiter Andres was great, we went with everything he recommended, perfect choices. Our favouite was the tiraditos which he allowed us to order 1/2 tuna, 1/2 hamachi (important to know they are flexible). The restaurant was full but we were able to sit at the bar and witness all the amazing dishes coming out of the kitchen. We also got to watch what was the coolest looking Peruvian? chef preparing sushi. Not hard on the eyes at all. Important to make reservations which we did for the following day and for the second night this restaurant did not disappoint. Our server Madeleine was very sweet. This time we had a table and although we ordered most of the same dishes as the night before, we were able to try some new dishes. We finished with 2 desserts that were delicious, a cheesecake sushi roll and some Thai donuts in sweetened condensed milk. Yum. I totally recommend you try this delicious and healthy restaurant!
