- MMarcHouston •36 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoVery much enjoyed our dinner experience. Appetizers, meatballs and caprese with buffalo mozzarella, were nicely executed and delicious. The bread basket at the table was fresh, warm and excellent. The entrees were fantastic. Nicely presented, large portions and delicious. As good as any comparable or even more expensive restaurant. Loved my chicken parm. My wife’s salmon was perfectly cooked with 3 large grilled shrimp with a nice wood grill flavor, lots of spinach and roasted potatoes. Had a smaller piece of chocolate cake for my birthday dessert and it was moist and rich. Also had key lime pie. My son and I agreed that only Joe’s Stone Crab has better. Service was great and attentive, without being pushy. Atmosphere was comfortable and nice.More infoGrotto - HoustonPrice: Moderate• Italian• Galleria / Uptown•4.7
- PPaulVIPHouston •65 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoDining at Amore was a treat. I think my Chilean Sea Bass was the best I have eaten in Houston. My fried artichoke was excellent as usual although the stem was inedible because this is not the best season for artichokes. My wifes regala seafood dish was also very good. The prices are reasonable for white table cloth dining and service was attentive but not intrusive. My only minor complaint was that the music was a bit too loud. I'm not sure why restaurants feel the need for loud music that drowns out conversation. Also, why does an Italian or French or Japanese restaurant see the need to play American pop music. I never returned to one restaurant which served good food because their music was rock played at an ear splitting volume. I will not ever return to one of the new one star Michelin restaurants because they refused to lower the volume of their pop music which was culturally at odds with their cuisine.More infoAMORE Italian RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Italian• Upper Kirby / Shepherd Corridor•4.7

Also had a pepperoni pizza and the lobster ravioli. I can’t not say anything about anything we ordered.More infoCapone's Oven & BarPrice: Moderate• Pizzeria• Downtown•4.6
